Our recent memorial day for Annette Howlett was held on December the 14th and was a terrific success. The day was in support of @breastcancerireland in memory of Annette, a cherished member of our club who we sadly lost. Annette’s dedication and spirit remain an inspiration to us all. 🩷

The day itself was action packed and the weather was kind. See the details below with some great pictures…
5km Fun Run
It all started with a 5km fun run at 9:30 am. Members meet early for a coffee in Hadden Park with the @coffeesisters.ie (who donated €1 from every coffee to Breast Cancer Ireland…thanks girls) and then ran, walked or hobbled around a 5k route from the club, past Maypark in Donnycarney, up Collins Avenue and back to the club house.

Legends Match – KDFC v Shelbourne
Then at 2pm it was time for the legends match between Shelbourne and Killester Donnycarney. This featured some very special guests (see below)! All proceeds went to Breast Cancer Ireland).

FAI Cup and League Trophies
🏆There was also be a special appearance from Kevin Doherty and Sean Boyd with the FAI Cup and the League Trophies.

And a bit of socialising…
🍔Everyone seemed to have had a great time, enjoying the Irish Charcoal BBQ food truck, a drink in the Clubhouse or a coffee from the @coffeesisters.ie.

Well done to all concerned.
Maith sibh uilig.
